COULART EDU APP

Introduction

Coulart is a Paris-based edtech startup offering online art courses to children and adolescents aged 6 to 18, with students across multiple countries.

The core challenge: designing for three distinct user groups at once — children, teachers, and parents (student administrators) — each with fundamentally different needs and expectations. As the lead UX researcher and designer, I conducted both qualitative and quantitative research (user interviews, usability testing, NPS and UMUX surveys) to understand where the experience was breaking down for each group. I designed differentiated experiences tailored to the distinct needs and mental models of each user type. Through iterative prototyping and testing, the final design met the functional and usability needs of all three groups. Within the first phase of launch, active users grew from 0 to over 100, and user engagement increased by 12%.
