Introduction:
This project explores the sustainability challenges of IoT products through a data visualization approach, focusing on users’ real-life experiences of adoption, abandonment, and repair. Conducted in collaboration with researchers from Royal College of Art, the study combines qualitative user research with creative data storytelling methods. Insights gathered from participants were translated into data comics, making complex behavioral patterns and emotional responses more accessible and engaging. The project contributes to ongoing discussions on sustainable design practices and has led to a co-authored paper submitted to IHM’26.
Period: 2025
Method: Questionnaire survey, quantitative analysis, data visualization.
